I spend WAY too much time creating YouTube content to let that shit go to waste… … I pull clips DIRECTLY from that YouTube video for social media. There are two main types of short-form videos that I will create from that long-form piece of content: 1️⃣ YouTube Promo Video 👉 I will combine a TON of different clips throughout my YouTube video to almost create a trailer for that video. I post these on Monday when my YouTube video drops. ⚡️ The goal: My intention is NOT for this clip to go viral or get a ton of engagement, instead I want it to point people to go watch the full video ✨ Pro tip: I combine the video with a ManyChat DM automation to deliver the YouTube video link right to their inbox if they leave a comment 2️⃣ Dedicated Social Media Clips 👉 I will pull out short segments of the video that I think will perform well as a stand-alone piece of content on social media platforms ⚡️ The goal: My intention for these clips would be to get a bit more engagement and deliver something valuable to my audience… and save me time by not having to go and create a ton of stand-alone video content ✨ Pro tip: If I find that the clip is too long, or I don’t like everything I say in it, sometimes I will just use that as inspiration to go and record a separate video. I don’t let the idea go to waste if the video editing/formatting feels a bit off (this video is a prime example of that) This process is all about working smarter, not harder, and it allows me to produce and post more content in WAY less time.
