Rolling out a new test in the US today! We’re highlighting key video trends — inside both the video tab and the video carousel on feed. Trends will cover everything from workplace stories, to industry news, to job and career tips. If you see a trend you’ve got a take on, post a video on it! We’ll be on the lookout for videos to feature inside each trend.

Wow this is huge for creators and new visibility! To be featured in trends does LinkedIn analyze the video content itself, or it is categorized through hashtags/copy?

Lakshman I have a question. Will this trend functions also focus on particular themes? i.e. finance related content. The problem I have is thank I'm completing with trend that just are not relevant to me and my industry.

Really interesting Lakshman Somasundaram . Do you know when UK/EU users can expect to see the vertical video feed back? I was just in the US to talk about video in LinkedIn and only a handful of my audience had it (2 people!) . Cheers

Very cool! Good way to organize content and continue to get people to adopt LI video beyond what’s trending in the LinkedIn News section. I can imagine a lot of the videos that will fall under the trending topics aren’t relevant to daily news and now LinkedIn has two places to feature “trending” types of content - LinkedIn News and trending video. Can brands potentially be featured or just creators?

Super interesting Lakshman Somasundaram, any central place we can check in on the status of new features like this? For example, I no longer have a video tab 🤷♂️

Hey! So curious if the algorithm will also start to recognize what type of “video” content we’re into as users and start feeding us that content. Also what will the video categories be?
