We're testing a new design for videos in feed! Building on our efforts to make video a central part of the LinkedIn experience—through immersive features like the video tab—we are now testing a new look and feel for how videos appear in the feed. This updated design puts video content front and center, making it easier for you to watch and engage with video. Video on Linkedin is booming as it becomes a favorite way for professionals to connect with company leaders, industry experts, and their networks. We’re eager to hear your feedback as we continue investing in more ways to make video stand out on LinkedIn. Shoutout to Jonathan Reid for letting me feature your stellar video in this.
Great update... when expanding the text consider making the text bg a bit transparent. The full white blocks out most of the video and it feels like you jettison from the video completely.
Can you make the stuff at the bottom disappear by clicking on the video (rather than pausing)? You can’t see the captions in the video if they are too low, like this one - removing the possibility of watching without sound or making accessible for deaf/hard of hearing.
Two things: Ability to see a video only profile. Also, better quality video please. It looks like 2018 TikTok in here. It’s jarring when just coming from FB/TT/IG.
Great work Jake! I've noticed that when I click on a horizontal video (for example an episode of Catalyst or The Path,) there is no way to rotate it to watch it horizontally on the phone. Is that a permanent thing?
Love these updates! I’d love to be able to see more videos when the horizontal bar of videos next to each other show up on my feed. I usually try to scroll sideways and realize there are only a small number of vids there. I want to see more videos there to discover more people 🙏🏽
This is awesome!
Everything you want to know about getting video visibility in your feed is discussed in this episode of Mark Williams podcast https://open.spotify.com/episode/7d2nErFPYCyopTmudbcxPA?si=iKzhAfEdRuOLdac644MiLA
Yes it shows up in the new experience but then the content looks bad or is cut off (text especially). When will there be new creative guidelines for videos? Safe zones, preferred ratios, etc? Jake Poses
I love to see the updates and the continued move toward video!
