Introducing LinkedIn Page Verification

Introducing LinkedIn Page Verification

We’re introducing verification badges for LinkedIn Pages, helping members and customers quickly find the official Page for an organization they intend to engage with.

Why Does It Matter? We know that authenticity is key to creating meaningful interactions. A verification badge on a LinkedIn Page helps signal to members and customers that this is an official Page for the organization, and in turn, helps the organization build trust with its audience.

How Does It Work? At launch, a select number of LinkedIn Pages will be verified. If a Page is verified, a shield-shape badge will be visible on the Page next to the organization’s name. This badge is visible to anyone (i.e. Page admins and members on LinkedIn) viewing that Page.

Multiple factors are taken into consideration when determining if a Page is verified. Factors may include, but are not limited to:

  • Accuracy of certain data points on the Page (example: location, website URL)

  • Active Page admin presence

  • Page is claimed (not a Listing Page)

  • Compliance with LinkedIn policies

Availability: You may start to see verification badges on a limited number of LinkedIn Pages this month. If an organization’s Page isn’t verified, admins can submit a request and join a waitlist for potential future verification. Waitlists will be reviewed periodically, and submitting a waitlist request doesn’t guarantee that the Page will be granted a verification badge. We’ll continue to expand availability in the coming months.

Like always happens in Linkedin Support, "it is not for everybody"... I paste: Hello Rafael , Thank you for reaching out. I understand that you are unable to find the "verification controls" in your page settings. I acknowledge that this can be frustrating. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Upon conducting a thorough review, I have determined that the Workforce Verification feature has not been extended to your company pages. The domain you have added for your company page is currently limited to "Job postings" and access to the "My company tab." Consequently, the option to verify work emails for you and your employees is not currently available. It's important to note that we are presently in the process of testing the expansion of domains that can be used for Workforce Verification on LinkedIn. However, this feature is not accessible to you at this time. As soon as a new feature becomes generally available, we will share this information on our LinkedIn Marketing blog, where you can stay updated by visiting and subscribing to updates
