In this short series, I'm comparing the shot quality on the Gaggia Classic models: (Scroll to the bottom for time codes) Pre 2009 (my 2003 Gaggia Classic) 2015 Gaggia Classic 2019 Gaggia Classic Pro The latest model prior to the new version, widely known as 2015 (despite being made over a period of a couple of years) is the one with no solenoid, so no discharge pipe into the drip tray, and all push buttons, no rocker switches. The 2015 model is often available cheaper when buying used, especially when listed at auction and not buy it now (as I think some people pay over the odds via buy it now by not doing their research first and thinking all classics are the same). So in this video, what I'm wanting to discover is: do any of the changes to this model of the classic actually impact negatively on shot quality? There is one particular issue other than shot quality that would put me off the 2015, which is that this shot button is known for sticking, which is a pain - but I'm working on a potential fairly simple solution for this.
