Biography

Simona Altshuler is an associate at Prince Lobel Tye LLP. As a member of the Business Transactions group, Ms. Altshuler advises and strategizes with various corporate clients, including corporations, partnerships, start-ups, and non-profits, on tax, corporate transactional, and corporate maintenance matters. Prior to Prince Lobel, Ms. Altshuler was a senior associate of Ernst & Young’s Diversified Tax & Business Tax Services group, advising national biotechnology and life sciences corporations on tax credits, transaction costs, tax apportionment, and transactional tax structures. Ms. Altshuler has experience in tax controversy through work with the Harvard Law School low-income taxpayer clinic where she counseled clients to resolve federal and state tax liability issues and, in partnership with the clinic director, furthered taxpayer rights through legal advocacy. Prior to her appointment to the adjunct faculty, Ms. Altshuler served as a Teaching Assistant in the Graduate Tax Program with Jay Darby, covering topics from buying and selling a business, to estate planning, to opportunity zones. Ms. Altshuler is admitted to practice law in the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
