I used mace for the first time last week in the form of blade mace. I didn't grind it. I decided to "marinate" it in Spring 2024 Vermont maple syrup then drizzle it on whole milk Greek yogurt and walnuts. Heaven.
Next, I'll try it in a savory dish like a stew so I don't have to grind it but can leave it whole and let the flavor slowly release into the mixture.
Will be ordering juniper berries next. Love that The Spice House has all the ingredients that I can never find in stores
I use ground mace in my seasoning salt recipe. When you buy blade mace and grind it yourself in a dedicated coffee grinder, you will never buy preground mace again.
