Lady Gaga mocked for trying to appeal to ‘rednecks’ in Biden endorsement video

Lady Gaga tried to drum up support with battleground-state voters for Democratic nominee Joe Biden in a bizarre, new endorsement video — but was mocked on Twitter for trying to look like a “redneck.”

“Hey, this is Lady Gaga. I’m voting for America, which means I’m voting for Joe Biden,” said the camouflage-clad pop star as she leaned against a pickup truck in a video posted Saturday to Twitter.

“And if you live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote.”

The born-and-bred New Yorker then took one sip of beer, tried to crush the can before tossing it on the ground saying, “Cheers to the 2020 election.”

The endorsement video was panned online by Twitter users who said the A-lister missed the mark with flyover-state voters.

“This is Lady Gaga trying to appeal to Middle America. HOW DO YOU DO FELLOW PICK-UP TRUCK OWNERS I LIKE BEER TOO,” wrote one user, referencing a popular meme.

Another Twitter user added that the star was “trying to appeal to conservative voters by being a caricature of what she thinks conservative are all like.”

Others were appalled that she let a full can of beer go to waste.

“Real rednecks wouldn’t have wasted that perfectly good beer, Gaga. I speak from experience,” wrote one Twitter user.
