Sipping with a Sandler surprise!
Adam Sandler returned to the infamous IHOP location on Monday to surprise the hostess who didn’t recognize him in a viral TikTok.
Sandler returned to the Long Island location for Milkshake Monday, a charity event that was inspired by the actor’s tweet. “For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to the milkshakes,” he wrote on May 3.
The promotion donated $1 (up to $50,000) for every IHOP milkshake that was purchased on Monday to the nonprofit Comedy Gives Back, which supports the comedy community with mental health support.
The restaurant also offered all-you-can-drink milkshakes at its 19 Long Island stores in honor of Sandler’s tweet.
On Monday, the 54-year-old posed wearing IHOP face masks with hostess Dayanna Rodas, who captioned the video, “Couldn’t have been more excited!! Thank you Adam Sandler!”
Sandler shared a photo from the event of his English Bulldog Babu, captioned “Thank u IHOP for Milkshake Monday.”

Rodas’ TikTok first went viral when she posted a video of her turning Sandler away from the busy restaurant when she failed to recognize the star.
“Pleaseee come back,” the 17-year-old begged in the caption of her TikTok, which showed security camera footage of the hilarious April 25 encounter.
She explained, “Not realizing its Adam Sandler and telling him its a 30min wait and him [of course] leaving [because] hes not going to wait 30mins for IHOP.”
The embarrassed teen later said: “It wasn’t until a customer walked in about 15 minutes later saying, ‘Adam Sandler was outside,’ when I realized I spoke to Adam Sandler!”
The celebrity easily blended into the crowd wearing a sweatshirt, sneakers and shorts—and obviously covering half his face with a mask.
