PH has vaccinated over 9000 people so far – gov’t
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque announced that as of Wednesday, the third day of the country’s vaccination drive, the Philippines has already vaccinated 9,077 people. Of this number, 771 were vaccinated on the first day, 2,715 on the second day, and 5,591 on the third day.
In a televised briefing, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said the vaccinated individuals received the first of the 2-shot COVID-19 vaccine from Sinovac Biotech.
“Vaccines will also be delivered to the rest of the country, as we already have data with regard to the masterlisted population in the country’s 17 regions. As of yesterday, the master listed population stands at 222,783,” Nograles said.
The Philippines received 600,000 doses of the Coronavac vaccine on Sunday. On Thursday night, 487,200 initial doses of AstraZeneca under the COVAX facility arrived in Manila.
The country is seen to receive 4.58 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines, and 117,000 doses from Pfizer as part of its share from the facility.
